It depends on how fast you are walking, how much you weigh (fat people do burn more) or if you're carrying a backpack versus not carrying anything, if you're going uphill vs. downhill or on a sidewalk vs. on sand (the sand makes you burn more since you're sinking into it).
It'd be quite a bit, though, since as I recall, me walking an hour on a sidewalk at a 3 m.p.h. rate was supposed to only burn about 200 calories according to one website I checked.

You didn't give enough information.
at 200lbs. at 3.5MPH you would have to walk 30 miles to burn 3,570 calories equal to:
a 1-lb jar of Pace salsa, 2 tsp mustard, 1/2 cup of raisins, 2 cups of cooked spinach, 2 apples, an apple, a cup turnips, 2 cups tomatoes, 3 graham crackers, a Swanson chicken pot pie, 3 potatoes, 4 plums, fresh/live Klingon Gagh, 1/4 pint of Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey, 1/4 of a Tombstone Original Supreme pizza, a 6-oz can of black olives, 2 cups of cooked spinach, 1 cup of blueberries, a strawberry Poptart, 4 Chips Ahoy Cookies

3500???? that's A LOT!!! during the whole day you have to eat no more then 2000-2500 to be in shape!!! But 3500 that's too much - for example swimming burns 158 kkal in 15 mins! running - 188 kkal
good luck

10,000 steps done at a brisk pace without stopping. Done daily will net you approximately 2 pounds a week.
