If you have any blistering then you really need to see a doctor. Blistering indicates a more severe burn than 3rd degree ,which is the red skined burn without blistering.
If you have just red skin then you must keep your self hydrated and watch your fever ( elevated fever may indicate, Sun poisoning and or Another problem), also you need to keep you skin hydrated and the best thing for this is Aloe-Vera. If you can get the plant and break open these leaves and rub the inside on your burn then that would be ideal ,but if all you can get is the kind found in the drug store just read the label and make sure it does not have any alcohol in it. If all you have at home is Vaseline then this also will help keep you skin lubricated.
Wear sunscreen when you need to go out as your skins is now very vulnerable to another burn .

Aloe Vera works best for all kinds of burns. Buy the pure kind from the health food store or grow your own plant in a pot. Break off a piece and spread the slimy stuff inside the stalks on the burn. Stops the pain and by the next day redness should be gone.

Vinegar. Sluice white vinegar all over yourself, in the bathtub, and the burn will go, and the acid of the vinegar will prevent any possible skin infections as the result of the sunburn. Let it dry, then shower in cool water to rinse it off.

Aloe Vera is awesome. I keep mine in the fridge so that it is cold, it feels better that way. Aloe Vera is also the best remedy for a regular burn.
