Weight watchers is really awesome. You don't have to cut out and types of foods but just track everything you eat and keep it under a certain amount of "points" points are an easy way to track your calories and take into consideration fat and fiber as well. I lost 30 pounds doing weight watchers and am still keeping it off after 8 months. Weight Watchers has a website that will give you one week trial for free to see if you like it. Another free (all the time) site is fit-day. That one is a bit more work to track your food since it's database is smaller but like I said it's free. Don't try to rush the weight off, it didn't come on in just a month and it won't go off in just a month, not in a healthy way anyway. You can do it!

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

Here is my diet that got me down from 450 to 210lbs:
1) Drink LOTS of water, at least a gallon a day.
2) Eat High Protein, lo-carb meals (1400 calories a day)
3) Walk 30 minutes a day
4) Have a sweet snack if you like, but do not over do it.
You should loose some right away and the rest over the next couple of weeks. BTW, the point of the small snack it to please you palette so that you will not crave too many sweets. A small indulgence is OK.
I set a goal for myself as well, I wanted to loose 1 pound a week. Yes it took me years to loose the weight, but it took years to put it on. But if you set a goal of 1 pound a week, that is 52 pounds a year, wouldn't dieters love to loose weight like that?
Good luck.

I answer this question the same all the time. I am surprised I haven't gotten a best answer yet. I guess people are not taking me up on my challenge. I started this new program called t-tapp. After doing the DVD 7 days in a row, I lost an inch off my hip and off my waist. I lost 2 inches off my abdominal area, which is my hardest place to loose weight. I have now been doing it three weeks and I am so impressed with this program. I have worked out with a trainer for 9 months and did not get this kind of results. I know it sounds too good to be true, but you should try it. She has a whole try before you buy section on her website. I encourage you to do that. Good luck!

Without a proper diet and exercise program, you can not lose weight. Instead of 3 meals a day, eat 6 SMALL meals. Drop your carb and fat intake, as it is obviously too high. Cut out ALL sweets... no more deserts. Treat fast food like the plague that it is... in other words, don't do it! Drink LOTS of water, drink NO sodas. Up your activity level and get on an exercise program 5 days a week. You may not want to exercise now, but after a week or so of it (especially once you start seeing results in strength, endurance, and physique) you will find it addictive and you will have no trouble maintaining it.
There's no quick fix. You either need to change your entire life style, or forget it. Watch that show on TV... "The Biggest Loser"... they'll show you how it's done, as well as inspire you to do it yourself. http://www.nbc.com/The_Biggest_Loser/
GOOD LUCK!!!

An obesity expert, forgot his name, found out that a good way to lose weight is to squeeze in exercise into your life. At the desk or watching TV, stand instead of sit. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Park farther away so you have to walk more.
You can also try this. he has something like this to his office. He has a treadmill in his office and walks on it while he's doing his papers, on the computer etc. He put a higher desk infront to make it all possible.
Good Luck !

eat less and exercise. it's 90% diet and 10% cardio. No need to lift weights. Stay consistent. Stay away from fats, keep carbs low, protein high. Spread out the meals, sleep well and drink plenty of water. Try to eat mainly vegetables and fruits. DO NOT TREAT YOURSELF TO SNACKS/DESSERTS. that's probably the most important thing.

I am a weight-loss coach, and I have found that these programs are the best.
I tell everyone to go to this website because I know it will work for anyone. You need to go there too. I got on one of the programs not to long ago, just to try it out and I have lost several pounds and inches, so I know it will work for you. The products are safe and all-natural. Most of all they are the most healthiest (my opinion). Check out the website. Fill out the contact page. Someone will get with you and discuss with you all you need to know, and how to get started ASAP ! Good Luck to you.

For every pound you are overweight you should drink one glass of water.
Regular exercise and a diet consisting of no more than 2,500 calories will take the weight off.
To start, even simple walking around the block will help, as you get stronger you can start a more rigorous routine.
