I've always wondered why Yahoo Answers has a joke section. Riddles I can understand but do jokes genreally need an answer?
Am I just a misery?

I'm not so bad that I don't think they're good for cheering people up but are jokes questions? You don't get the speaking clock telling jokes to cheer people up because that's not what it's there for.
I think I really am a misery. LOL

It shows that Yahoo Answers still has loose ends. My jokes were deleted because they were not questions. Hello! how many jokes are questions? Please let them take out the jokes section or change their community guidelines.
Just by the way, 'April' those kind of questions that you suggest will be construed as chatting and violate the community guidelines.

i agree with you - and not because i am an old fuddy-duddy.
i like puzzles and riddles.
i think it would be a lot better if yahoo answers created a different category just for jokes - and one for just for riddles and puzzles.
i think i have actually earned more points in this category than anywhere else on this site.

I suppose the jokes lighten things up a little......there are some very serious people on this site.......... Mind you I bet those miserable gits don't even look at the jokes section.

answering all these jokes, all those two points add up you know, ok on a more serious note yeah i guess they aren't a question but they do cheer me up after a long day so i don't think it matters xXx

They are put on here to cheer us up and for us to add a comment on how good/bad they are as opposed to answering!

Y! answers r for making someone's day...so when u post a joke u make (or atleast try to make) someone laugh.
Y! answers is not just questions & answers....it's more than that.

Technically theyre not questions but they are open for comments once put on here. I think the place would be poorer without them though!
