programing for uniden bearcat hand held scaner model# bc 55xlt , i dont know how to enter the codes, i got the codes for my local area

OK, here what I find. The first link IS NOT Uniden web-site, but, someone who sell old manuals; $25 plus $5 shipping I think and your scanner is listed.
The second link is Uniden support, BUT, they not have yours listed for a manual Download. I found a BC60XLT and it may be the same, it say 10 channel, so, the instructions may work. It a PDF file and I think it free, so, it not hurt to try, before you buy. IF, you want a Owner's Manual. Good Luck.

Ok, study the board on front of scanner. Press manual; a channel comes up with a number; press program; enter code with period in between numbers; press enter; it should go to next channel to enter next code. I think that is how it is done...
