Butter! You have to use butter; otherwise, you will end up with super crispy, flat as pancakes, cookies! Plus, butter makes everything taste better. Just ask Paula Deen from the Food Network.

Everyone has always raved about my chocolate chip cookies. I am a grandma and have been making them for 45 years. I use Blue Bonnet margarine. If you can't find it in your area, try Fleishman's margarine or even Butter flavored Crisco. Real butter tends to break down to much and make the cookies to flat. Blue Bonnet is also excellent for grilled cheese sandwiches. Penny

Butter always cooks up better than margerine. Add a box of instant vanilla pudding mix to the batch and they'll bake up really moist and gooey

butter because margerine is more likely to give you a heart attack, also butter makes the cookie crispy on the outside and gooey in the middle.

I use butter in all my baking recipes. Margerine is used in our house only as a spread and sometimes mixed with olive oil if I'm frying something in the skillet.

Use unsalted BUTTER. Margarine doesn't have the wonderful flavor that butter does. You have to use the unsalted kind of butter, it is a better quality. The poorer quality has salt in it because it is not as good.

Butter all the way! Your cookies come out so much yummier than if you used margarine. I personally like to use unsalted butter for my desserts.

I only use real butter, salted, in my cookies. I am famous for my cookies. Old boyfriends call to say hi, they miss my voice and my cookies.
