According to my research, Douglas County, in which the City of Superior, WI is located, charges 5.5% sales tax. The link below shows the rate county by county.

I believe the rate there is 5.5% and there is tax on most items.

If you go across the bay to Duluth, MN., there will be no tax on food or clothing but 7.5% tax on most other things.

The only real reason to go to Superior (or...Soup Town as we called it) is for the bars. There are more things to do, places to see and stores to shop in Duluth.

This could be true, I always go across the border to Erie, Pennsylvania they have no tax, ---->guess bags for flat price :-D
