Evolution is a science in which the principles are continuously questioned, tested, and revised as new information is acquired. The fact that some religions such as Hinduism are more compatible with evolutionary theory does not make it a product of the religion. Secular Humanism, if you even qualify it as a religion, has adopted it, but did not create it. If a pastor felt that Newtonian physics should be taught alongside the Ten Commandments, it would not make it religious doctrine. Evolution can be studied without any attempt to prove or disprove the existence of God.
In summary, enough of your meaningless rhetoric. Evolution belongs in schools, the Bible belongs in religious classes and parochial schools, and "Scientific" Creationism (but not Creationism) belongs in the trash.

Evolution isn't a religion, it's a fact of life. McCain believes in evolution as well. But that you don't is indicative of a failed education system, which is precisely why we need more choice in education. Look, let's be straight here. There's no way that we all appeared 6000 years ago, when God created us in seven days. It just can't have happened because fossils exist, and all sorts of methods for dating prove this. Red shift proves the big bang. DNA evidence proves evolution, though, through mitochondrial DNA we can see what species used to be what, and how it has changed over the years. Evolution is 100% proven, regardless of whether or not we came from monkeys is in dispute by some people--it doesn't change the fact that the framework behind evolution is 100% completely, and entirely proven. McCain/Palin '08.

The Roman Catholic Church and many protestant denominations have accepted Evolution as the method by which God creates. Buddhism and Taoism are compatible with evolution. The native american churches support evolution as a natural extension of the Great Spirit's involvement in the creation. All of the pagans I know teach evolution as part of their views on the world as part of the natural cycles of life. I know five followers of the Khemitic faith (the old Egyptian religion) who accept and holds to the concept of Evolution. Every member of Asatru I know accepts evolution.
So... which religion was it that you were looking for?

No, it is actually based on science, thus it is taught in science class. I could try to argue this, but it is much easier to just tell you that evolution is real and in 25 years everyone will have finally learned about it, and this whole debate will be over. Until then, we keep up the butting of heads.

Evolution is not a religion. It is based on scientific theory, not a doctrine. There is no religion to evolution. Evolution has been proven by fact, just like Gravity. Whether or not you choose to accept evolution as fact is up to you, but it still stands as truth.

This is by far the best ploy I've yet seen in the attempt to stop teaching science.
Evolution is not a religion, even if some religions have accepted it. I've heard tell that some faiths accept gravity as true too---if we don't tell, they might continue teaching that theory more as well!

Um.
Just because it's compatible with a religion doesn't mean it is part of that religion. e.e Teaching Creationism/Intelligent Design is specificaly religious and dogmatic. Teaching evolution is science.
