Not knowing the background of the one who won't commit makes a response more difficult. Maybe he was in a previously bad relationship where he finds it difficult to commit. He may possibly think that a younger man will come along taking you from him and then he's hurt! Relationships often lack a good foundation of trust. If you left him once before, he is most likely not trusting you and therefore not going to commit to going through the pain he's already gone through with you once before.

If you already know he won't commit, ask yourself whether you want to go through all the heartache/drama again. Age is really just a number. The way he treats you and makes you feel is the most important thing. If he isn't treating you like the princess you are, move on the the next one!

You have answered your own question sweetie.... stay away from him... far away from him. He's using you. If he wont commit, then the only thing he must be after is sexual. He will move on again and he will probably break your heart again. When I was 19, I dated a 29 year old man, who was far more advanced then I was, but I felt so secure and mature being with him. Eventually I met someone my own age and moved on, but when he got lonely, he would begin to call and try to weave in and out of my life, but I stopped him dead in his tracks and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. Good luck.

It really doesn't matter so much that he is older. If any guy that can't commit keeps returning, it's because he lost the last one that he wouldn't commit to. So, he is trying to play with you again. Ignore him and he will get the hint and move on to the next one that he won't commit to.

You probably had a dad that was pretty non-existent so you're looking for an older male role model to fill it...so do the opposite of what you would noramlly do! Find someone you're own age!

You need to take control of your life. If you don't want to fall for this guy again, you need to either not respond and let him move on or set ground rules for a friendship with him. If you set ground rules for a friendship, you must abide by them as much as he does.

Maybe he has changed? Tell him how you feel and that he should leave you alone if he isn't ready to be serious and commit. I'm in my early 50's and was dating a girl in her 20's and it was the opposite problem, she was the one who wouldn't commit. Good luck to you.
