Mitchell squared off with Lopez twice at Arco Arena in Sacramento, Ca. the first fight took place on 3/15/91 and was scored a draw. I can't comment on that fight having never seen it. I did see the second which took place on 9/13/91 and Mitchell totally out worked and outclassed Lopez, whom was a favorite of mine, to win the IBF super featherweight title. Mitchell was truly a great and one of the most underrated fighters in boxing. Should be a Hall of Famer. Thanks for answering Brad. I wish you had waited longer. But you proved a point, there are people whom need to do research before answering, per a conversation I had with Santana D. Trick question. I wish a_p_ ribafish had answered it. It seems that the people I give best answer to m n, except for Brad who was setting somebody straight knew better than to answer this question. m n was a guy who was busting my b*lls about giving all the best answers to Santana D. But after educating him he promptly removed his answers.

Ted B - what do you mean, 'Lopez'?
Mitchell and Lopez DID fight. Twice. Mitchell got robbed with a draw the first time, and boxed his ears off the second time with a comfortable decision.
If this fight had gone 15, Mitchell would have hurt him worse. He is the only fighter I have ever seen whose work rate INCREASED as the fight wore on.
