wt do i do. is notepad downloadable from the internet for free?

i have no idea how you can solve this problem
but at present i am using notepad 2 its better than notepad in matters of services and program compatibility
you just have to search it on GOOGLE.com

Why don't you try some other simple text editor with better capabilities like textpad, editplus, jedit etc. You can google on this names. There are lots more; notepad is not really an option...

use wordpad or MS Word or any other word processor instaed
u might have damaged ur registry, u need to reinstall windows

ya u can download it for ur pc from microsoft.com.but its better reload ur window
