Actually I adopted this one from my late wife; it comes from the Book of Proverbs, and she learnt it as a child from her Dad : "Trust in the Lord in all your ways, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your paths." I'm 86 this month, and served 5 years as an RAF Pilot in WW2, and I can vouch for the effectiveness of that advice.
