God doesnt LET people be blind, he created them that way. And now you will say "how is that any better"? "why does god want his creations to be blind?" well i believe it is a test. god is giving them a life test and on the day of jugement he will show the results of the test and have teh person pass (heaven) or fail (hell). a blind person has problems every moment of their life dealing with their blindness. so god will see if they make the right choices and still do good even though they are going through a rough time.

GOD does not let people be born blind....it is a genetic defect. Saying God has any part of that is like saying the Easter Bunny makes some people deaf.

Disease is the natural condition of this material world. Viruses and bacteria are part of the checks and balances, like the food chain and predators, that keep any one kind of life from dominating all the others.
Our spirit does know before it comes here if it will live in a
handicapped body. Some chose to do this to make up for
wrongs in the past. That's why even if we believe in healing
power. They spirit within might not let us heal them.

JOHN 9:1-3

1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Life is life, but if it weren't for original sin there would be no afflictions of the body.

i wish i knew the real answer to that.

all i know is, God has a purpose for everyone... blind or otherwise. blind people can sometimes "see" better than regular people... especially those blind people who open their hearts to the Lord so that the Lord will allow them to see the world through His eyes.
