Being 40 shouldn't determine whether or not you look for a life partner. If you feel that it's not a commitment that you want to make, then don't rush into it. At the same time, if thinking of spending the rest of your life with another person makes you happy, there's no reason not to.

Why would it not be okay to seek a partner simply because you're in your 40s?
However, we tend to find better matches when we don't actively look...so live life, make it as fun and enjoyable as you can, and one day you'll look up and someone amazing will be there to share it with you.
Good luck!

What does being 40 have to do with anything? You're only halfway through your life and you should find someone to share it with.
