He was crucified because it was the common way of execution in those days. Today he would probably be killed some other way.

After Jesus' death Jehovah God resurrected him to life as a spirit person in heaven (1 Peter 3:18) Now Jesus is ruling as King in heaven and his followers on earth are announcing the good news worldwide. (Matthew 24:14). Being a spirit creature, there is no need for Jesus to die again, however, he will carry out God's purpose of uniting mankind to worship him unitedly under better conditions (Psalm 37:10, 11).

The Roman Catholic Church or Catholic Church is the Christian Church in full communion with the Bishop of Rome, currently Pope Benedict XVI. It traces its origins to the original Christian community founded by Jesus, with its traditions first established by the Twelve Apostles and maintained through unbroken Apostolic Succession.
The Church traces its institution to Jesus and the Twelve Apostles, in particular Saint Peter, the leader of the Apostles, who is regarded as the first Pope. The first known use of the term "Catholic Church" was in a letter by Ignatius of Antioch in 107, who wrote: "Where the bishop appears, there let the people be, just as where Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church."
Central to the doctrines of the Catholic Church is Apostolic Succession, the belief that the bishops are the spiritual successors of the original twelve apostles, through the historically unbroken chain of consecration . The New Testament contains warnings against teachings considered to be only masquerading as Christianity, and shows how reference was made to the leaders of the Church to decide what was true doctrine. The Catholic Church teaches that it is the continuation of those who remained faithful to the apostolic and episcopal leadership and rejected false teachings.

Matthew 24:29-31
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The world hates Jesus as much as it hated him when he was on Earth. Of course, Jesus Christ is very famous, millions believe that he is holy and that he should be followed. No powerful person is going to pass up the opportunity to use the name wherever they legitimately can in order to make money, get themselves into positions of power and whatever other selfish goal they may have. Use of Jesus' name, doesn't automatically lead to God's blessing (Matthew 7 vs21-23) Ask one of Jehovah's Witnesses what Jesus thinks of this world. A book about his life on Earth, based on a chronoloical ordering of the four gospels, is available free of charge from them.

If you mean, "If Jesus were to return to earth again today, would we crucify him all over again?", then I would again have to say no. It is stated that the "...dead shall rise, and the rest will bow in worship." Man will not even have a chance to arrest Jesus, as we will either be swept into the fires of Hell, or joining Him in the Holy Army.

Jesus will come on the clouds and all will see him when he returns, that is why he warns of the false prophets many will come in my name claiming to be me but it is not so. When he comes all will now. He will come when everyone is made aware of his name, they will choose to follow him or not. He will seperate his flock the good from the bad. And he will not be crucified. He did that already the reason was God needed perfect blood to renew his covenant to us. Jesus' blood was the ultimate sacrifice. He took our sins to redeem us. He opened the way for us. We only need to seek him and let him in when he comes knocking on the door to our hearts!

I think he would be horrified and devastated. He would be ashamed of what we have become. How we have harmed and even murdered our fellow human being. I think there are those sickos in our society who would blame him for not preventing some of the tragedies from happening, even though the accusers would be the guilty parties. But what do I know, I was only born on December 25th :-)

Jesus didn't come to change the world. He didn't get involved with political or social issues of his time. He came to save sinnners from their sins. I know if he came again to die, which he wouldn't he would do the same thing he did before. Not get involved. This world will always be evil. He came to call us out of it.
