Boyfriend and I have been together for 1.5 officially, though we've known eachother 3 years. He is lovely and great. Awhile back he'd dropped hints and eluded to proposing. It iddn't happen and I must admit I was a little disappointed. He has said it was because of finanacial reasons which I totally understand cause those things are NOT cheap. He's been saying for awhile that he wants to do something really special for New Year's Eve (spend it in NYC) at someplace "not too loud/but nice/chic." And this weekend he was saying how we should go look at rings this upcoming weekend.
Do you think he is going to ask me during New Year's! AH!!! :)

LOLA .. I don't think it is going to be a surprise anyway! After all, he is proposing that you both go looking at rings. Given that you are going to get engaged, I reckon you should make it somewhere special. NYC for new year sounds like the ideal spot. Best of luck!

Maybe that's what he is planning on,ut it might not happen that way! When my husband and I picked out my ring I wore it home and when we pulled into the driveway he asked for it back to put in the box untill he was ready. I gave him a sad look because I didn't want to take it off but I did. He got out of the truck, opened my door, helped me out of the truck, kneeled down and proposed right there! It was so sweet, he couldn't bare to see me sad!

don't spoil things by expecting anything. If all you can think about is a proposal then you're not going to enjoy yourself until it happens. after all how many people are as luvky as you are? just go with the flow and if it happens, than, congratulations.

it absolutely sounds like he is ready to tie the knot. But just relax and enjoy him and don't put so much pressure about this whole issue. You are with him and he is with you. Sounds like you have a nice relationship. Let it flow...let it flow

Don't get ur hopes too high. You might have to face dissappointment again. Wait, if not patiently then impatiently.

I hope he does. Looks like you really love him, eh?

Sounds like it, but don't get too excited just in case you've misread the signs. Good luck.

Isn't this the sort of thing you're supposed to share with your friends rather than random people who really don't care?
