First of all Christians claim that:
1- Jesus was completely human and completely God
2- The one who was performing miracles (like healing) was Jesus the God not Jesus the man
3- all people in his time knew that he was God and worshiped him.
Based on these three facts... how can you explain this:
A woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, have mercy on me, O Lord, [thou] Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
Jesus answered, I am not SENT but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Isn't that a clear proof that Jesus was just a man performing miracles by the power of God Just like all other prophets?
(note the he replied saying I was not sent, he was talking a man here)

And why did she say "O son of David" .. if she was directing her request to God?

The answer is Jesus is NOT God.
He is God's spokesman.
That's why he is sometimes called The Word.
Just like an ambassador represents his government in a far away place.
He was sent to Israel, therefore he hesitated to have dealings with anyone not an Israelite.

Jesus is true man and true God.
Jesus "emptied himself" and acted in all things like a man, except for sin.
Like any other man, Jesus depended on the anointing of the Holy Spirit for the power to perform miracles.
The woman in Canann had no right to expect Jesus to perfom a miracle for her, because Jesus was sent by his Father to fulfill only what the law, the prophets, and the psalms had earlier written about him ... and this Canaanite miracle wasn't written in any of them.
Son of David is not a denial of Christ's divinity, as the Messiah must come from the House of David.

Some of your premises are wrong. Namely, not all Christians claim (and possibly none claim) that all people in Jesus' time knew that He was God and worshipped Him. Also, not all Christians claim that the one who was performing miracles (like healing) was Jesus the God not Jesus the man.

If Jesus were just a man His death and ressurection would not have been a proper sacrafice and payment for the sins of mankind. He did everything with the authority of Almighty God because God gave it to Him just as God has given Jesus Christ authority over satan and those who obey the commandments of Jesus and are His children. Jesus said,"No man comes to the Father except by me". He is either who He said He was or He is a liar. You choose who you will serve. As for me, I will serve the Lord Jesus Christ and only Him.

she was a gentile woman the Christ was sent to the Jews first,
He was not saying He was not sent just not sent to the Gentiles, Yet. you will note that she still got her miracle because she worshiped Him
even after the Resurrection it was to the Jews first the Gospel was preached then to Samaria and then the Gentiles nations.
and is was God who came in the body of a man, He robed Himself in the flesh of a man. He was still God, remember He was still the omnipresent Spirit too.
PS
to you addition she was saying she believed He was the Messiah, the Christ, the anointed flesh, as prophesied
