lol. no you shouldnt remove it you cant erase that you were married once before and you cant erase your children and the man did give you the best gift of all and that was your children and u leaving that thier to remind your kids of happy times at least they can see once upon a time our mom was happy with our dad. if he isnt willing to give up any of his tattoos then u shouldnt either. its easy to take but i guess not easy for him to give that is a line u can tell him! ive been divorced and know what u mean i use to go through things all the time with my new hubby and u cant live by what other ppl want because from your expierance and mine things can end (such as a marriage) and that tattoo is for your kids to see thier dads name gives them good memories that they need to hold dear. good luck and best wishes.

I have to wonder if you are completely over the ex if you are so adamant about keeping his name on your body. I can see what your boyfriend is saying. How would you like to look at his old girlfriends picture on the night stand all the time. Some things need to be let go of. I had my exes name and my new guy hated it- after a few months I had it covered up. Not necessarily because of the new guy but because that part of my life was over and it didn't make sense to wear his name around anymore.

My husband has a tattoo of his ex-wife's name on his arm. He keeps saying he wants to get it covered, and I am sure one day he will. I don't even notice anymore. When I look at my husband all I see is the man who loves me. After all she is the EX not me.

You tried to compromise and he wasnt willing. Leave your tattoo alone. He should be willing to get rid of his if he wants you to get rid of yours. If not go find someone else, because if you only have a name on your arm. How do you think he would treat your kids by the same person?

you've got the tattoo its part of you now.
its not like you're married to this guy, he is just your boyfriend.
so he just needs to deal with it.
Don't let him control you!... He has no right to.
you belong to yourself and no man.
don't put up with a control freak. there are better men out there
you deserve the best

Get a new man!!!! He seems insecure.
I myself think you should NEVER get a man/woman's name on your body. Its bad Karma! It never seems to fail that the relationship never lasts.
If you want to keep the tat then do it. It cost allot to be removed and sometimes to cover.

You usually get charged for the total size of your tattoos so yes you will be charged for both but it would be the same price if you got them on the same foot.

If he's worried about a simple tattoo, then what is he going to worry about in the future. Sounds like a potential problem.
