Why is it that the food which tastes best is worst for you? Pizza, chips, burgers, spuds bread and jam, all bad for you. Vegetables, fruit etc all good for you. This is totally unfair! How the hell vegetarians exist I don't know. Can't imagine life without plenty of meat, it isn't natural.

Is there a question, or are you just bashing vegetarians? I personally find fruits and vegetables delicious, but I also enjoy meat. Everything in moderation, I guess, is the answer.

Vegetarian food can be VERY tasty and absolutely delicious when prepared properly with love and care. Just the same for meat dishes. It's all in the talent of the chef.
Many vegetarians have returned to eating meat, fish and fowl, yet still maintain a strong vegetable diet. The protein is most important and as we get older, we require high quality protein to keep our bodies strong.
So, one does not have to give up "flesh foods" in order to stay healthy and happy with their eating. Everything in moderation. Just avoid eating too much of anything (except greens), including meat.
One of my dietary teachers many years ago put it this way:
10% of your diet should be protein
40% of your diet should be vegetables and greens.
10% of your diet should be fruit.
20% of your diet should be whole grains.
10% of your diet should be nuts and seeds, oils.
And here's the kicker:
10% of your diet can be anything the heck you want to eat. In other words, that extra 10% can be the so called "forbidden" foods, the rich desserts, the candys, etc.
That opened my eyes and I realized that my diet should not be so restricted that I avoid eating what I really LOVE to eat.
We must enjoy our lives and eat healthfully to preserve the quality of life but that does not mean restricting ourselves so thoroughly that we cannot partake in what we love to eat. This was a very good lesson for me many years ago and I hope it is able to serve you. Good Luck.

I eat meat but also love fruit and vegetables. Junk food I keep as a treat because although it tastes good it makes your energy levels crap and I feel totally moody if I binge on junk foods. By the way, you didn't mention chocolate. My favourite bad food. :)

I adore vegetables. I also eat meat and I love pork, but vegetables are more versatile and have different textures and flavors. In my opinion, the best tasting food in the world is fresh steamed corn on the cob and it isn't bad at all for you!

Because we have been designed by evolution to really crave ingredients that we need but that are hard to get or require high motivation to acquire --- like animal fat and sweets. Only now, all you need to do is walk to McDonalds, don't need to hunt down wild animals or brave the bees!

Curry is bad because of how it is cooked. They used to used clarified butter, high in fat, now they use hydrogenated fats which are very bad hmmm OK.
Pizza is actually good for you it's the crappy meat you throw on it that makes it bad.
