Only through Christ can your sins be forgiven, and only through Christ can you stop committing the same sin. People misunderstand the bible and put there own meaning to things that they are reading in the bible. You need to really STUDY the bible instead of reading it. and always pray before you open the word of God and ask that he open your heart and mind and send down the Holy spirit and give you the understanding of his words.

That is not what it says you have changed the meaning with your paraphrasing

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

and to be born of water is to be baptized in Jesus Name
and of the Spirit is to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost,
as it is written in Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost

How many ways do you plan on asking the same "question"?

Jesus can't forgive sins. No one can. Sins are not things. They are not items to be bought, sold, traded or thrust upon a demigod whipping boy for the human race. Sins are ignorance put into action. Only knowledge can stop sins. Only those hurt by sins can forgive them.

Repentance is the feeling and act in which one recognizes and tries to right a wrong, or gain forgiveness from someone that they wronged. In religious contexts it usually refers to repenting for a sin against God. It always includes an admission of guilt, and also includes at least one of: a solemn promise or resolve not to repeat the offense; an attempt to make restitution for the wrong, or in some way to reverse the harmful effects of the wrong where possible.

In another words we turn away from sin and turn to GOD. Sin is active disobey to GOD.

Why believe man over God?

Jesus says "I am the ONLY way, truth and life, no one comes to the Father but through Me" John 14:6

Unless you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God- John 3:3 --To be born again by the spirit of God- believing in what Jesus Christ did for you on the cross- dying for your sins and then rising from the dead 3 days later as the bible says. Repent of your sins and put your trust in Jesus Christ! That is they only way of salvation- through Jesus Christ. That is what a born again christian is. One who has believed in Him and repented of sin- has been redeemed by his blood and is now justfied and sanctified in His Holy Spirit. ---It is ONLY through Jesus Christ that you can be saved- and go to heaven.

Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

No, if you don't allow Jesus to forgive you you are stuck with those sins when you enter eternity and thus it's impossible to enter Heaven

nope, do not agree with that...the logic is mess up...how can you forgive yourself, of something that you did? seems to be a conflict of interest at best. when i commit a crime, i don't forgive myself, that is either done through the punishment, or through mercy (which is someone else taking the punishment willingly for me). that is justice...if i had a choice, i would not show myself justice...so, really, we are in no posistion to forgive ourselves, because you are not just, nor are qualified.

When it comes to salvation no one but Jesus can do that. When it comes to sin and confessing it and giving it to Jesus, then I must forgive myself since He has forgiven me.
