on yahoo answers there's like on answers it says, below your threshold. what does that mean? how do you get it?

threshold is literally the ground level below a door. figuratively it is a bar above which things are acceptable, and below which things are unacceptable. the threshold on your yahoo answers is set at a default level, but you have the capacity to raise or lower it, as explained by another answerer.

There is a drop down menu that you can activate that says things like "Show answers with ratings that are more than -2" meaning.. the votes that aren't shown to you or 'below your threshold' have had 2 thumbs down votes. I believe you can easily change this to show all answers. :)

It just means the person is on a higher level than us...
Example if a person is on level 2 they are below the level 3s threshold...

when you are below your threshold, it means you can take on more of whatever.

If an answer gets a certain amount of "thumbs down" ratings, then it will hide the answer from you. You'll still be able to view them though.
