At first I thought the idea was great...but after visiting Europe (Spain, Italy, etc) and talking to some of the people there, I realized that the quality of care is sacrificed. Sometimes it can take MONTHS to see a doctor......

It will be a high percentage, until they find out the cost. Then all the people with good private health insurance (big unions) will discover that they'll lose it all and have to stand in line with everyone else. That will just about sink any proposal.

No communism, thank you...stop extending Medicaid benefits to 1/2 the planet, and re-regulate the healthcare 'industry'...that's my answer...wrench the prices back down to where working-class people can afford the premiums...I'm also in favor of tort reform so doctors aren't required to carry millions of dollars in malpractice insurance. Any 'system' you have, 'universal healthcare' or whatever, is a big fat sitting duck for the scruples-impaired...also, it's not america's job to provide free healthcare to Mexico. Mexico can build and fund their own healthcare system.
US hospitals are closing because of their systematic abuses.
That's not acceptable.

I don't think anyone can honestly give you the percentages. I wouldn't want it. There are too many problems in countries where they do have it.
