I have very sore breasts. I have been very tired too. I really can't believe that the test was negative because I never feel this way. Why would my breasts be so sore if I wasn't pregnant?

It depends on the type of blood test--you can either have had a qualitative or a quantantative test. A qualitive test just says positive or negative and this test is as accurate as most home pregnancy tests--though it can be that the doctors' test is less sensitive than home pregnancy tests and may miss an early pregnancy. A quantantative test is always the best---it can tell you exactly how much of the HcG hormone is in your body---even if it reads 10 (much lower than what any home pregnancy test or qualitative blood test reads), it can still tell you that you are pregnant.
I hope this helps. Good luck and God bless!

Usually a blood test is the most accurate. It could be too early to detect the hormone yet. Maybe if you still fell crappy in 2 weeks you can test again. You know your body better than anyone. Some people still test neg. when they really are preg.

Best of Luck!

A doctors blood test can be wrong if it is taken too early. 1 week before your period is due is borderline early. If the egg hasn't implanted yet, then there is no hCG (pregnancy hormone) in your blood stream.

If your period is late, test again. It could very well have been too early for a test.

Any blood attempt is precise yet, a being pregnant effect relies upon on which way the outcomes went. while you're asking because of the fact the blood attempt detected HCG (replaced into constructive), definite, it would be precise, HCG is there while you're pregnant. If the blood attempt replaced into detrimental, you have gotten basically in all probability ovulated previous due that month and the implantation and so forth. could be "previous due". basically because of the fact ladies "often" ovulate "mid-way" of their cycle would not advise that an off month ought to point they ovulated very early or very previous due. that should point there basically hasn't been sufficient time for HCG to grow to be cutting-edge on your gadget, even although blood tests can stumble on the smallest quantities of HCG, you ovulation might of had to been very previous due, and basically earlier than a blood attempt (implantation can take various days).

I would say not very... personal experience.

I had period on 18th march. Blood test on 4th April. due for next period around 15-16th. Tests came back NEGATIVE. doctor asked me at next visit on 11th if i still felt pregnant, i told her YES I DID!! She looked at me and said, well, you're not. Your HCG is less than 5. (what most women are at normally when not pregnant). Values should be up around 20 or so....
I peed on stick on 17th cause i figured i was late already, and it was positive!! When I went back to see the Dr, she was shocked actually! Couldn't believe it! (our little one is now almost 11 months old!!)

Hope this helps??

Good Luck!!

My breast get very sore right before I am going to start. I know I am not pregnant because I have had a tubal ligation.

You could have to repeat the test. I would try anyway.
