There's no reason it can't end without you remaining friends - yes it will hurt awhile but sounds like you can be a better friend than boyfriend. Tell her face to face if possible, just sit down and explain that you feel the relationship has evolved to a more platonic level and you need to make her aware of this rather than pretend everything's ok. Ask her if she feels the same way - she may well do. And then discuss where you can both go from here whilst still salvaging what is probably a good friendship.

Tell her that she means more to you as a friend and therefore you don't want to lose her. However, because you respect her you feel it wouldn't be right to lead her on and let her believe there could ever be more than friendship between you. Of course she will be upset initially but once she is over the shock, she will respect you for being honest.
On the other hand, you may be in for a shock if she tells you that she feels the same way which, in all honesty, she might as long distance relationships are extremely difficult to maintain. lol

Tell her that the distance between the two of you is causing you to feel different towards her...as in more as a friend. Just let her know that you'll always care for her but you don't think that the relationship will last any longer. I know that she still loves you but it's not good to keep holding on to a relationship that you really don't wanna be in. You two deserve to have something special...so just let her know how you feel without being to harsh or making her cry...

Well no matter how you do it will probably cause pain but if you want it over you have to end it dragging her on will make it even worse. Just come out and tell her you can't do it anymore and you care about her but the relationship isn't going anywhere and you feel you have to end it. Long distance relationships are very hard to make work

Dear fellow spurs fan (ps what a game sun!)
You really need to be honest, tell her you feel more like a friend than anything else, tell her you love her so much that you think you should be completely honest and give yourselves the chance to let go.
Has she moved because of work, college etc? How often do you see each other.
You really must be honest with her - for your own sake if not hers.!
If she loves you as much as you say she does she wouldn't want you hurting and not being happy. would she.
hope it goes ok
xx

This may be one of the most difficult conversations you may ever have to have. I believe your girlfriend would respect you more for your honesty than to keep up a charade. Love is kind, patient, and true if you are not true to her this would hurt her even if you are dishonest. Explain to her that you value her friendship more than the relationship, and the friendship would last forever. more couples have split because there was no friendship and you all are blessed to have that gift.

Have you ever thought that what you feel is exactly what she needs to hear? Be who you are. Dont try to be someone you are not. Good luck.
