I find that a man that has the courage to get out in the single world again to find happiness very sexy. The fact he doesn't have kids makes him even more attractive, and a job too? What's your number?

Well, as a newly divorced women slightly over 40 I know I have been checking out what's out there as far as the male population goes and I am looking for one who has a steady job, home, plans and goals for the future. One who's idea of a nice weekend doesnt involve what ever bar you can sit at until closing time.
Charm, charisma are nice. A great smile is wonderful. Sense of humor can get you farther than a corvette in my book.
Basically looking for male version of myself. Someone who's secure in their life, work and family. Someone with their act together who isn't looking for someone to take care of them but who's looking for a friend then see where things go from there.

it's so common for men in their 40's to be divorced (w/ the divorce rate so high) I don't see what the big deal is. You don't have any baggage really. It's a combination of traits that make a man attractive. Ambitious, secure, independent, funny, shared interests, and most of all treats his significant other with respect. You could have all these traits but at the same time be an asshole. So it's how you treat others and yourself that is important.
A man in his 40's who lives with his mommy is a huge turn-off! IMO

Let me speak from personal experience...Hell yeah, divorced men in theire 40's with good jobs, nice cars and beautiful homes are chick magnets. It is a big PLUS if you are laid back, self confident and in really good shape. Dude, let me give you some solid advice...HIT THE GYM...you're out of shape. But hey, if you're not looking for Hotties and just avearge women in your age range, then don't bother with the gym. Me...I'm, buff, rock hard and have a dynamite hottie for a fiancee who's 15 years younger than me. We get along awesome! Younger gals are sick and tired of the lying, cheating, screw anything on 2 legs 20 something guys. Most of em don't have a decent job either. They'd rather hang with their buddies and hit on women than be at home enjoying time with their wife or girlfriend.

Not necessarily. I would be wanting to know why you are divorced, whether you have trouble with commitment or are you just looking for a good time? Maybe you are a work-a-holic and don't have time for a spouse and kids.
Nice guys are nice from the inside out so I would be looking at your relationships with your family and friends, how you speak to and treat others, are you a good, trustworthy friend, what do they think of you, and what is valuable to you.

I think it is charm, charisma, and honesty. A good, solid job helps too, of course. The divorce part is irrelevant because so many of us have been there, done that.

40 is not old, esp for a guy. Divorce isn't the greast thing to show up on your record, up not a sin like it used to be. Look a DOnald Trump! I would say that you are by all means hot property, but it's hard to say how much without loking at you.
