psychology in general is taking a look at the problem, using alternatives to change things to improve things. Generally it's called counseling, and counseling could be anything from career counseling to marriage or divorce counseling, to adjustment counseling, etc. It's just bringing out situations and looking at them sensibly and solving them. Most people think you have to go to psychologist type counseling, when you could do the same thing with a well trusted parent or relative who has the gift of solving problems, rather than to get your private thoughts on some psychologists records that will stay there forever and be brought up when you don't want that to happen. Basically counseling means giving your ideas and showing you a direction.

The right psychology makes a world of difference in peoples lives if they also do their homework.

For example; you are depressed from a situation in your life. You go in for talk therapy, discussing the situation you find how you can better deal with it. This makes life easier and you begin to be less depressed. You have learned how to better deal with problems in your life, enriching it and then you will be less likely to fall into depression again.

The answer is not medication, the answer is to deal with your issues. Most people are lazy or not willing to really do the homework. Others have such horror in their past they are fearful to really look at it. All need to remember it is the past, it cannot hurt any longer. Time to be free of the pain and have a better life.

I believe when people have purpose in their lives and are doing what they were put on this earth to do, they have meaning and no depression. I have found that through God, I have found my purpose and have never been better.
