Prophets state that the Messiah is when the Line Of David (Joseph's bloodline) meets the high priests line (I forget the name but its Marys bloodline). Now if Jesus was born unto a virgin, this means the two bloodlines had not met, so Jesus' brother, James, is the meeting of the two bloodlines. So is James not the Messiah? Just a thought!

Jesus fullfilled all the prophecies of the scriptures of their times.
James did not.
James is indeed in line of David on both sides, but Jesus is the Messiah.
I'd like to see the verse that you claim states the bloodlines has to meet.
I bet there is more to it, or it is being misunderstood.

Jesus is really the Messiah. He came from the line of David, read Matthew 1:1-20. He was born to the Blessed Virgin Mary who was betrothed to Joseph from the line of David. During the ancient times, it was the bloodline of the father that is taken into consideration in determining ones genealogy. I am not a bible scholar, but this is how i understood this when Jesus bloodline was explained in my bible study.
But definitely I believe that Jesus is the Messiah. His birth was prophesied in Isaiah 7:14 ..."Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign: the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel"
There is only one messiah as there is only one Jesus, therefore, James cannot be a messiah and was never referred to as messiah in the bible. Jesus called his disciples brothers and it does not mean that they are his biological brothers. In like manner that we are called Jesus' brothers but we are not his biological brothers, either. We are all brothers and sisters because we are all a Creation of God.

Joseph adopted Jesus who is half divine. Made him in the line of the kingdom. Legal and done before. It also circumvented the curse placed on the BLOODLINE of David's son Solomon.
Mary was a decedent of Nathan (David's child not under a curse), so Jesus met both criteria without violating the curse.
Pharisees had wondered how the Messiah could be a descendant of David.

Joseph was not the genetic father, but he legally adopted Jesus as his son. That legal adoption made the family line that came through Joseph valid.
It is not the first time that legal inheritance and other family matters were settled in the Bible without going through the normal procedure. Jacob, the father of the Israelite nation, obtained the legal right, inheritance, etc, with God's blessing, by asking for it from his older brother, Esau, who original legal right it was.
Only Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies regarding the Messiah. A very good question. Ask one of Jehovah's Witnesses for further details.

I believe the bloodlines go from men to men - the women's bloodlines did not count. So it was Joseph's bloodline that counts. Even though he was not the father of Jesus - as God was - the bloodline still counts. Jesus is the Messiah and always will be - He sits at the right hand of God the Father now. He is alive and living within me. Praise be to God.

Jesus was through Marys bloodline since Joseph was his step father. The angel told Mary it was to be her firstborn son as she was a virgin that was to br God's son.

Both Mary & Joseph can trace their ancestry back to King David. Jesus Christ, though, was the only one to fulfill the 300+ ancient prophecies about the Messiah. Jesus is The Messiah and even His brother James confirms this in the book by his name.

Joseph's bloodline has nothing to do with it.
Mary was descended from both the royal and priestly lines.
The other "bloodline" was God's.
