i threw my back out and will see a chiropractor later today, do i need to go see my MD also to get a prescription for pain medication?

A chiropracter CANNOT prescribe!

No. Check with your chiropractor because many times clinics have DCs and MDs on staff and the MD can prescribe any needed medication.

NO,a DC is not an MD. You have to see an MD for prescription drugs.

A chiropractor can prescribe "holistic" or all natural herbs, vitamins etc..."Which is much better for you than Synthetic prescription drugs" anyway!

No they can not prescribe medication, you have to see your primary MD for that.

most can't. they can prescribe supplements such as glusomine etc..
