Windows media player 10 will convert to mp3 format for free; if you have windows media player 9 you will need to buy a plugin here
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx#MP3Create

Otherwise download Free MP3 WMA Converter

1.You drag and drop files into the "Files to Convert" pane
2. Choose an output path ie where you want your converted files to end up - I've chosen the desktop
3. Choose an output format: mp3!
4. Click on convert - simple!
