I plan on washing it with color treated shampoo a couple times before I go.

No. The color will most likely fade, and it can interact with the chemicals in the perm no matter how many times you wash it.

Wait until after the perm...and talk to your stylist (if using one) to find out how long your should wait.

No, a perm will wash out a lot of the chemicals in your hair including your hair dye. To maintain healthy hair while using a ton of chemicals in your hair (you are by the way) use these tips:

If your hair is dry don't wash them every day! Shampoo and hot water are the biggest moisture zappers there are!
<>First of all get a shampoo that is for animals and humans (I pesonally recommend Mane 'n Tail) So you can be sure that there are no chemicals.
<>Then, get a good hairmask. Use it every other month.
<>The months you don't use the hair mask pour oil on your hair in the shower and wash and condition as usual.
<>Every week put a mayo mixture and leave in over night. Wash it out in the morning.
Here is the Recipe:
1 cup mayo
1/4 cup sour cream
1 raw egg
1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
<>Mix together and slather on dry or wet hair.
<>Massage into your head for 5 minutes.
<>Put a shower cap on your head and a towel on your pillow.
<>Wash out in the morning.
(<>if you can't sleep with it leave it in for at least 1 hour and then wash out in the morning).

<>If you have oily hair pour lemon juice or vinigar on your hair instead of the oil.

****<>****Always do a final rinse in cold water. This will seal up the hair cutical and give you shine, and a lot less breakage.****<>****

NO. My uncle's daughter had gotten a perm and decided to dye it a few days later and her hair literally started falling out. She had to shave her whole head. My suggestion, DO NOT do it.

I would not use the dye first. I bleached my hair years ago and most of my hair fell out I am sooooo serious. You hair is already dead if you dye & perm around the same time You will fry your hair and will wish you had never done it. Trust me on this one I'm sure wash in is not near as bleach but I still would not do it.

NO!!!!! Do NOT take that chance. I was in one day getting my hair done, and a girl comes in CRYING, with patches of missing hair. I asked what happened and the lady doing my hair said that she had died her hair before they permed it and when the perm was in, her hair..well..was out. The first place that had done her hair, had said it would be fine. They lied to get the buisness, i'm sure. So,please. Consider not doing that. If you DO dye your hair, wait a while to get it permed. Good luck. Hope I helped.

It really depends on the texture of your hair. Some hair texture may not be able to take it.. so I would advise waiting for one week at least before you do your perm..

no don't color your hair before a perm it will compromise the integrety of your hair wait two weeks after the perm and have a professional do it box colors and perm/straightners don't mix well.
