When he gets home, MEET HIM!!! Then figure out the rest... And, ignore whoever said you have no clue about love. That's ridiculous.

Well honey, take it from someone that had a baby at 17 and had all the responsibilities since then. TAKE IT SLOW, if you like him and your the typical 16 year old, who usually don't take any ones advice, then just be great friends with him. Him being a father should tell you a little about him already. Does he take care of the child willingly? Does he see him often? If not then i would consider that, obviously he's not a family man. And men in the military aren't supposed to be parading around town and having sex every time you turn around, which means you are probably just a booty call when he returns home, especially if you have talked about your body or sex with him. Be a kid as long as you can, cause it only last for 18 years and you have about 60-70 yrs, to be in a relationship. If I could go back, I could give you a list a mile long of what i would do different.

Ok, he's 19 is married and has a kid, is getting divorced, and he's in the army. This is one busy boy.
You asked what I would do--wait until I didn't have to ask someone on YA what I should do about a life altering decision. That just sounds mean, it isn't.
You are 16, haven't met this guy just talked on the phone, do you know how easy it is to be a great guy over the phone? And it's so easy to be a great guy when your dumping all your baggage and talking to someone who has a clean slate.
He's 19, already messed up big time, and he's even considering dating a minor?
This guy is not the hero he pretends to be.
Find someone your own age.

you could build a friendship with him but i think you are to young to be getting serious you are only 16 and you have your whole life together if this is meant to be between you and him it will still be in 10 years don't get in a hurry live your life and enjoy it while you are young it is better to be friends forever then it is to lose one through a break up or divorce and i tell you no one gets married to get a divorce be his friend everyone needs a friend

I would wait till his divorce is final (which would put you a little older and not a case of statutory rape for him) and then afterwards, let him know that you do like him.

Be a friend and a shoulder to cry on during the divorce.

Wait till his divorce is done before getting involved. I dont think you want to be drag into that proceedings. Another thing to think about is the age and that he has a kid now and how will that affect your relationship to him.

Hmmm, well i personally think that love is the strongest feeling you can feel. If you feel that you love him than nothing else should matter. Instead of finding things that can possibly get in the way why dont you think of ways to make way for this love you feel towards him?

I would realize that I was 16 and had no clue about love yet. I would realize that I was infatuated with him and why. I would try and grow up before I made life altering decisions.
