Im 25 years old and have a boyfriend, when ever family comes over or older friends they always ask if im married or have kids. God that bugs because they dont ask how my health is or school or work is going and even so when I tell them no to there ?, the converstaion ends. Well I have gotten to the point where I tell them something smart like so are you divorced? Or have someone else to bug? I know thas mean but who else feels that is annoying? The pressure.

Some people are so narrow minded that is far as they can think. Marriage and children. They do not consider the idea of education, a stable relationship, etc. You are not an old maid by far. And by the way, I love your come back! Good for you, sometimes you have to in a polite way let people know how insensitive and narrow minded they are. God bless

They ask this because maybe they are trying to relate. If they are married or have kids, then they have something to talk about. Its almost funny that its ok to ask about kids, but to ask what someone does for a living can be too personal.

Yes it does suck especially when you can't imagine being married with kids. It doesn't entice me at all and I always hear that too. My teacher says it's going to be worse for me because I'm going to teach kids and she said all the parents will complain that I don't know what I'm doing because I have no kids.

So you say,if you can`t beat them then join them.I think you could be bigger than them. Do them like you would a child,over look their stupid ways and show them that you are above that.Maybe they will grow up.
