I've liked the same guy for over a year now, and I want to stop. Because I like him so much, and because of something that happened between us, I can feel a hatred develop towards him (Sorry if that didn't make sense.)

And so I really want to wear away the infatuation I have towards him... I've tried making myself like other people, and it's worked. I liked someone else for about a month or two, and I actually forgot about him. But for some reason I stopped feeling that way, and my old feelings about the first guy started flooding back to me.

I know he doesn't like me that way, and I hate the longing to be with him all the time when I just... can't. (Long story)

Any ideas on how to get rid of the infatuation?

Infatuation can result from low self-esteem. You fixate on a specific person as you see them as a solution to your problems.

A short-term solution is to critique the object of your infatuation, and start listing all the things you don't like about them.

A longer-term solution is to start liking yourself a whole lot better, and realising that you deserve somebody better and more suitable.

you do not .. believe me .. i talk with revel in .. till "one other" on comes alongside it may not be feasible to eliminate your "fuzzy emotions" .. the first-class that you'll do is to preoccupy your self with extra foremost matters .. it really works .. takes time despite the fact that .. well success ..^^
