I used to have doubts that this was even possible. I'm still not so sure. But I joined a spiritual order about three weeks ago and it has changed my life in a way that church never has. I still believe in God and Jesus and won't ever stop.

But this other thing I'm doing is just so incredible! And when I talked this over with my Master he explained that I may practice this and believe in any faith that I wish too as it is my personal choice as well as Divine Right.

What do you all think about this? I really would like some input here. I think it would help me to reconcile myself with this better if I heard multiple points of view. And give details...I have had enough cryptic comments and one liners or people who only want to get their 2 points. This is serious to me.

OK you guys are right I didn't give enough details and I apologize.

It's not a cult. And the title Master is only a title given to someone who is something like an Elder. And I only have to listen to what he says and take his advice if I want to. If they think I should do something I do not want to they will tell me this but the choice is mine and they will in no way punish or censure me.

My "Master" encourages me to become more involved within my church and within my studies of the Bible. He says that as it is my belief it is my solemn duty to study it with all of my heart.

Does this help? Anything else you guys want to know I'll tell you.

Oh about the security thing, it's only due to the fact that sometimes people misrepresent themselves or are prone to intolerance and they want to first of all make sure you havn't decided to do this because you are off your medication and need to see a doctor instead of them.

I'm actually more in church than I've ever been.

I do not believe that it is possible to be a Christian and anything else at the same time. However I do believe it's possible to take from every faith that which will help draw you closer to God and better follow Christ.

Blessed Be

A valid question. I think a person can be a Christian and believe something else. I don't quite know what your other belief is, I'm guessing either paganism or Buddhism?

I would read the "Zen of Jesus." You might find it a helpful read.

In the end, though, you're the one doing the believing, and therefore, you must make your own choices. Do as your heart desires. If it tells you it's right, then go for it.

You're probably goig to get a lot of quotes about how Jesus said that none come before the Lord but by him. To this you should also consider he said that those who do as he says follow him and Jesus basically told everyone to chill and be cool about it; forget the world. It rusts and disintegrates anyway, noones soul is worth even the entire planet.

Don't hurt anyone (this includes God too so it's a bit bigger thing then you'd expect) and be humble about it (don't tell others how insanely nice you are) and get high. Just my 2 eurocents, time to take my own advice, cause i'm an asshole so far. :P

It is not possiblet which one are you going to devout your life to. I say is either you are with one 100% or the other. You cannot serve two masters.
You must choose. I do not know what this order is but if it is giving you the oppertunity to love God and it changed your life in a way that religion couldn't then maybe it is the right way for you. Noticed i said maybe. You could be being brainwashed so i do not know.
Be careful anyway.
Oh yeah, it is impossible to be a christian and anything else. When you are a christian you cannot serve God. You have to serve Jesus Christ.

May Peace Be With You All

My Dearest Bubba (what a funny nickname you have chosen)

I have spoken with RF Ezwik, he contacted me.

In view of the fact that we are new members here to the Yahoo Community I wish to assure you all that we are not a cult but merely a spiritual Order. We permit all faiths and do not encourage or discourage any particular one.

We only require that if you are of a faith, in Bubba's case, a Christian,,,,that you conduct yourself as one and that you are involved in it as fully as you can be.

Anyone interested in knowing more may contact me.

The Reverend Mother Erenae
The Order of Life Vision

A NOTE TO BUBBA: Father Ezwik and I have contributed an answer to your question but he and I are of the opinion that if you choose to select a Best Answer of your own that neither his answer or mine be in the running. Our answers were merely to reassure you in a public forum and to others who may be concerned for you or who are wary of us.

Indeed, we encourage one to question.

I hope you want biblical honesty. The word says that you cannot serve two masters. You have to choose. There is much deceit in the world, as it is the end times. The bible says to test all things against the scripture.

Don't become lukewarm and have be like a dog returning to vomit.
Or have God spew you out of his mouth.

Please pray and use the word, that is a lamp for your feet.

In christian love and concern, ~V~ \o/

As Bubba's "Master" I can tell you that IT DOES NOT MEAN I am your Master and your are my Servant and must believe only what I say you can and do only what I say.

I am an elder within the order and the reason for security is that in this day and age you never know who you might be dealing with. For instance, we had a young man come to us a while back who was clearly in distress and the reason was because he had just committed a crime and was off his medication and oh, a lot of other things.
The first thing I did was ask him if he had a pastor, a priest , a rabbi, a cleric...or any other religious figure in his life. I then asked for the name of his doctor. Then I did the following things.

1. I called his priest (he was Catholic) to come down and be with him.

2. I conacted his doctor who also came to be with him.

3. As he was being sought out by the police I informed them of his whereabouts.

4. Once he was back in communication with his pastor and doctor I stood together with them as he was sentenced for his crime.

5. I continue to visit with him, keeping him mindful of the need to continue his spiritual walk and keep in touch with his priest.
I ask him to keep a journal recording not only his thoughts and feelings but his meeting with his priests, his doctors, myself, and the record of his daily medication dosage.

We are not a cult. We do not brainwash. Everyone's "program" for lack of a better word is tailored specifically so that it does not breach the boundaries of their religious beliefs.

It has been very educational to me as I have had many students of many different faiths. I have learned alot about what I did not know before.

There is nothing to be afraid of this and as proof of this , when Bubba called me, fearful she had done a "bad thing" in posting this question without my "permission" I immediately decided to reply to her question myself as I responded to her a few moments ago on the phone.

She does not need my persmission to do or to not do anything.

She is only required to discuss things with me and I will give her the benefit of my experience and wisdom in such matters.

I am glad that she wishes to know what other Christians may think of this as it is very beneficial to her.

Be at peace with yourself and your beliefs Bubba. Strive to learn more about them. Read your Bible daily, several times if you have the chance. Attend your weekly services and any bible studies of women's groups they may offer. Talk to your pastor about this and seek his wisdom as well.

Hi, the warning bells sounded for me when I read the word `Master`, it sounds like a cult of some sort and you need to be very careful about what you are doing.
a Christian has no master but God,and cannot serve two Masters.

No, I absolutely do NOT believe that one can be a Christian and something else at the same time.

Be very careful. The deceiver has created many false gods (lust, power, hatred, allah, greed, etc) to distract and keep you away from the love and mercy of the one true God, and salvation thru His Son, Jesus. He also tries to lure saved souls away from God using seemingly innocent tactics and "feel good" emotional experiences (all of the flesh and not of the spirit).

My Christian counsel to you is for you to understand that Christianity is a whole...not a part. Don't be misled by false emotions. Don't be misled by your "Master" if he's not of our faith. What good will come from you trying to divide your faith between two things, one true and one not?

You are in my prayers. May God hold and guide you.

It would help if you told us what this "other thing" is. Pretty hard for us to determine anything from the secretive letter you wrote. Remember that organizations that keep their agenda a secret are often at odds with the law and morals.
Omg all these Christains automatically thinking you are talking about another religion where as i think its something like Unity or the Masons. Tell us which it is please.
