I know it's a simple step but have not done so in years and I have a new attorney where I work and has to do so.

I am assuming you mean a floppy disc? insert it into your A drive, right click "my computer" and open it, go to the A drive, right click and choose "format"

computers are so new these days that when you put the disc to be formated in the drive it usually knows if it needs formating and will give you prompts

you can format from a program like sonicstage or

look in the help menu and follow the links from there
