Just checked out the other answers...gues it depends where you live. Im In michigan, and this is the price for a dozen large eggs.

Over here normally the pre pack eggs comes in 10 or 30 package. Rarely nowadays 12, a dozen being sold in supermarket or shops.

It cost about 2.70 for 10 eggs and abt 6.00 for 30.

In my state, Oregon, I just paid 1.79 for a dozen large eggs. Not organic, not brown, just regular ones. I guess you will have to do the math and figure out what the'average' is across the country!

most shops charge different prices but on average i pay £1-40p for a dozen large eggs

Here in CA, we get our normal eggs from Safeway for about $2.29. $1.99 if they're on sale. And that's nothing fancy like brown or free range. Those can go up to $4.
