He's just trying to get some. Tell him he's a prick, and you don't want to have drinks with him. Are you leading him on? I know i wouldn't keep texting, if you said you were not interested.

He sounds like the type of man that does not take no for an answer...the kind that will rev me up so much I would want to kick his ***!! It could be one of the following:
1. He thinks that he is better than your man
2. He might know something about your man that you don't know and that is why he wants to meet you for drinks
3. He is just a stubborn jerk that wants to get you drunk, get you in to bed and forget about you the next day and mess up your relationship.
4. Or he fell on his head at birth and have some mental problems!!!

It's really not difficult to understand is it ? It may come as a surprise but people (even females) sometimes go for a drink with someone other than their partner. Why shouldn't they ? Sometimes (even females) cheat. And it may also surprise you to learn (despite the often simplistic reactions on here) sometimes 'good' people cheat too. So instead of worrying about what he wants - what do YOU want. I would suggest that if you weren't at least a little interested you would not be bothering to ask this question..............

Because he's a dog!!!! Text him back one time and say this. "As you know, I'm in a relationship. It is not appropriate for you to ask me for drinks since you are aware of my relationship." If he texts you again, then block his phone number. He is not looking for a relationship, he's looking for a challenge probably so he can brag.

Maybe he is hoping to get you drunk enough and get you into the bed and then tell your bf and you will break up, then he can have you when he wants to! Or ask him why he wants to take you out so badly for drinks and he can tell you himself, hopefully its not what I just said either, maybe he just wants to take out a friend in stress and a need for a night out!

He's hoping to get lucky. Maybe he'll catch on day of weakness, like when you just had a fight or are feeling low. He wants to keep first in line just in case you break your relationship. Maybe he likes to see you squirm. Maybe your bf put him up to it to test you. Why are you concerned, are you starting to think about giving in?

There is a theory that people want most what they cannot have - he's trying to get something that is already spoken for.

I would view this, since you seem to think its romantic advances, that he has no respect for your relationship with your current boyfriend. If you respect yourself and your relationship, tell him to stop.

because he wants to have a drink it's not like he's asking you to go to bed with him. Having a drink isn't cheating. go to happy hour and leave alone.

He probably really likes you, tell him to leave you alone, or just ignore him, if he threatens you call the police, you definetely don't want to get involved if he wants to drink!
