Like some of the ideas. Others is to just use the teams colors to paint the room and accessories them with different items from the team. There are posters that can be framed very large. Bedspreads, curtains and lamps of the team logs can be purchased by searching the net or their website.

Too much in a room can be over done sometimes. Do not forget he is not going to like it for ever and will want to change it at some point.

Replace the carpet with a green indoor/outdoor carpet to resemble astroturf. You could even use some sort of tape or piece in white indoor/outdoor carpet to "tape-off" base lines around the edges of the room.

Measure 3-feet up the walls, and run a line of tape around the room. Below the 3-foot level, paint the wall to resemble the walls of Yankee Stadium. Above the 3-foot level, paint the wall to loosely resemble a fuzzy-image of fans in the stands.

On a 2-foot by 3-foot piece of board, paint a "scoreboard" using craft paints and hang it on the wall. If you wanted to get more authentic, you could use cup-hooks and smaller pieces of board to make the numbers interchangeable like an old-fashioned score board.

Use your imagination and have fun with the idea. Children are remarkedly uncomplicated and they won't judge how "good" you do, they will just be excited that you did. Good luck!

There are so many things out there for the Yankees, Bedspreads, sheets, curtains, rugs, etc. You might think of painting a mural of the bleachers at Yankee Stadium, or looking for wall paper with a Yankee Theme. Uses Old bats for decoration.

I'd start with a giant navy old English 'D' on one side. The rest you can decorate with navy, orange and white splashes or stripes. Make sure there's a a few pics of a roaring Tiger taking a big bite out of a big "NY" too. That should do it. Best of luck !

I did my Son's room in Auburn and it turned out really cool. I painted the wall straight ahead as you walk in blue and the the wall on the opposite side blue and then painted the two other walls orange. Then we got basic navy blue sheets with orange trim and a navy blanket and a white blanket for the bed. We had the pillow case embroidered with the Auburn logo. It looks so good.
