HI,

I have a 6 week old kitten whom I've had since she was 4 weeks old. Her Mother got ran over by a car & she was abandoned left alone & under weight. Well all that was taking care of shes her normal weight finally and she's on kitten formula. Now the only obstacle left is to tame her any idea's. She's a BRAT she jump & claws furniture, attacks feet's & hands, climbs on bird cages, topples on plant's bites and kicks her feet, dosen't like to be held. The spray bottles a waste of time it scares her and then 5 mins later she's back for more. I NEED HELP

First off....folks like Jellyswis should be banned from being on this or any other forum... Even if only an immature child, such an evil answer is never acceptable.
Now to the question, sounds like you have a bit of two problems.
First off the kitty is young and may come around with age.
2nd off, sounds like a bit of a bonding issue.
I also have a young kitten that I rescued. He has his "dont hold me moments" too.
I find that if I wait till he is sleepy, he is much more accepting of me holding him and is a real sweetie when his belly is full.
At six weeks, ask your vet if it is not time to start him on some moist kitten food...this too may help to sedate him a bit.
Good Luck

As everybody is saying the 6 week kitten is too young to have been taken from it's mother perhaps there was a reason. The older kitten is probably just showing who is boss especially as they are two males of different parents.Try petting them both pretty much at the same time but not showing too much favouritism to the younger one, Having said that the younger one really needs a lot of care from you it's new mum at this time, this way the kittens will bond to you better.

Hahaha. I have a calico kitten too. She's like 3 months old now, and she is still a brat. There isn't really anything to do about it, other than tell her no SEVERAL times, and maybe eventually she will get the hint. I heard that after you get the cat fixed, they settle down, so maybe try that when she is old enough.Good luck!

If she is bitting look at her and tell her no the first instinct is to smack at it but that is a no no ! that will teach the kitten to smack back and bite shes been through alot now you just have to reward her when she does good , then when she scratches let her no that you mean buisness and put her in a pet taxi then talk to her the time you have her in there. I have a 1yr old cat and her name is keegan she was mean at first then she needed to know she was loved and I told her no we love you but that scratching is a no no. It sounds crazy talking to a cat but I think that they understand a little. She's no longer agressive.

If she bites you, hiss at her as if you are a cat. I know it sounds stupid, but it works.

Make sure you have a play-time with her. Kittens need a lot of stimulation.

I use time-out on my cats. If she is naughty restrict her to a small room or a puppy cage for 5 minutes until she calms down.

Buy her toys that she can run around and chase...I have a 9 week old kitten and everytime she starts to be rough I put her down with a toy and she will wear herself out and then come back and rest on me. Good luck.

I had the same problem with an older cat. It just takes time and consistant training. Don't expect her to change over night. It took my adult cat a few months to adjust. You need to show her a lot of love and attention. Play with her a lot and tire her out.

We had a kitten come to us the same way as you and unfortunately they never tame. She's a wild kitten and it will be almost impossible for you to tame her, the best you can hope for is that she comes for her food.

Do you mean biting and scratching at herself, or you? If it is you -don't smack her, just tell he no and get her some fun toys. If she is scratching at herself get her to the vets just for a check over - as it could be too many causes to list here

i know kittens can be very excitable and mischief makers, i can only suggets a scratching post and lots of toys, they love the roll around balls and maybe the toys that can be attached to handles that dangle.
or get her an ASBO lol, good luck
