It is a personal choice and everyone has the right to take action independently. If somebody feel that the thoughts of another religion more comfortable and sensible, then he or she can do it, there is nothing wrong with that. However, it should not be with an aim for material benefit, to insult or to harm others. All of the religions teaches to respect the entire world. So, according to my view there is nothing wrong with it.

Honestly, we Christians think that anyone who leaves Christianity has abandoned faith in the true God and is going to Hell (as all Muslims are for following a false prophet). This is not going to be a popular answer (Wait for all of the thumbs down!), but it is what Christians honestly believe.

Why is it wrong? Simply put Muhammad is a false prophet and Islam is a false religion (see the first link for Muhammad's prophecies which did NOT come true). Muhammad denies that Jesus is God, he denies that Jesus died on the cross, he denies that Jesus rose from the dead, he denies that Jesus died for our sins, and he denies that Jesus is the only way into Heaven. Muhammad contradicts most of what Jesus taught. Both Jesus and Muhammad cannot be telling the truth at the same time.

The second link below has stores written by people who converted from Islam to Christianity.

I feel sad. Concerning arguments about it being wrong. Right and wrong is really not the point. Life and death is. As a Christian I believe with all my heart that there is only on way to salvation of my sins against God and that is through Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus the Christ). When one turns their back from him they are literally throwing their life away.

What really saddens me is the fact that the person who "converts" was probably never really a believer in the first place it just makes me wonder how many people who call themselves christians are just as still lost as the rest of world.

The evidence of a true believer is a changed heart and God's Word written upon one's heart. The road to salvation is very narrow I just pray that we all daily examine ourselves top make sure we really are on it.

I ask you before quickly judging my answer, to take a minute and try to see what I mean. Thank you.

I think they are being mislead. Muslims believe in all prophets and their teaching, if so then why convert to Islam if they have high respect and believe in all prophet! unless what they say, is not what they really mean! If they believe in all, then why convert!
another query is, why is the punishment form converting from Islam is death! that doesn't seem to be an open minded, live and let live kind of mentality! is it! if they are sinning! then let God the almighty deal with them when the time come, not them. Just my opinion.

But, if that is what they want, to convert, then all the best for them, and I would wish them a good and happy life. Non of my business what they do with their life, it is theirs, and theirs only to do what is best for them. If they ask me should I convert! I will tell them no, but it is up to them not me. Muslims believe that Jesus Christ will come back and judge us all in the end, then why leave him, when in the end they will face him to be judge! ever thought of that. Why leave Jesus Christ, and at the same time claim he was Muslim. He was Jewish, not Muslim. but that will open a different kind of discussion. Just a thought! think about it. I say Live and let live.

I'd call converting from Christianity pretty foolish. The only way to remove sin is by having Christ remove it. So if you turn from that, you don't have your sins removed. The only way to heaven is through Christ, nothing else will make it.

My first thought would be - were they truely Christian! If so, it would seem to me that the only convertion or change to be made, is to be more like Christ. Changing from the true to the false makes no sense.
