Ive started to get red blotchy spots on my face after hot shower. They go away in about an hour but I think its getting worse. It feels like my skin is getting too hot. Is there anything I can do to make this better? Is there any Over the Counter things I can use to make it feel better?

I get that. What I do is rub some Noxema on my face and let it sit while I wash the rest of me. Then right before I get out, I point the showerhead down a bit, turn the temperature down, and then rinse my face with cooler water.

My doc says its common with people from Northern European heritage. The fair skin is more succeptable to flushing.

This is an inflamation of the skin. The cooler the water the less irritated it will become. The skin is releasing too much histamines and it is causing the skin to react. Just take cooler showers or when you are done with the shower rinse off with a cool water to get your skin back to more normal temperature.

Turn the shower head so that it hits more of your body and less of your face. Rinse your face with cold water after you shower.
