Yeah. I have never been to one, but was wondering if you got something else with that haircut.

Yes, it is, a haircut is a haircut , it can be done right by anyone who knows what they are doing, I have had salons mess my hair up many times, and I paid for that. One of the last perms I got at a salon, cost me $75.00 6 yrs ago, and my hair was so badly dried out and breaking off in clumps, the owner tried to fix it, free of charge with deep conditioning treatments, but wow, was very disturbing.

I am a Sanitation engineer. I used to haul garbage around, but now I have a degree in trash. A salon is where an artiste sculptures your hirsute protein based assemblance of follicles into a cohesive blend of texture and shade into an art form. Shampoo and conditioner are extra. My salon artesian wears a Parisian beret. Hair is not just to cover our head, it is a medium, a canvas for her to work her magic. A hundred dollars is only a small price to pay.

While I think paying $100 is way too much, there is a good reason why it is so.

Usually in a case like this, the stylist has had a lot of training, not just one round through cosmetology school. They will pay more attention to what they are doing, rather than just whip you through. They can tell you what styles will work best for your face and body.

I'm sorry, but if I ever paid $100 for a haircut, you have my permission to put a gun to my head.
