A healthy relationship requires BOTH people to be loving understanding and compassionate. Just remember that not all men/women carry these traits. You have to figure out what is important to you. Some people need a partner to be loving more than compassionate, some need other things. It all depends on what is important to you. One thing that is VERY important in communication. If you dont have that, then your relationship will not last long.Talking to each other about daily lives and problems will keep your relationship strong. Sex is important but not as important as having a strong relationship in other categories. Sex is just a bonus!

A healthy relationship, assuming you are talking the romantic kind, is a good balance of many different things: trust, communication, love, understanding... and yes, even sex.
A relationship can last a good long while missing one of the integral parts, but in the end, missing that single part will cause a stress on the relationship.

Sex has very little to do with it. Sex is a bi-product of love, trust, understanding, marriage, intimacey. You can be intimate without having sex. Intimacy is a trusting closeness about being together and alone without the sex. If you can do that and enjoy eachothers company without always wanting to jump into bed, then I believe that to be healthy.

A mutual respect for eachothers needs. Commitment and an understanding of your partner...what makes them tick. If you have this respect for eachother a good love/sex-life is far easier to achieve. Couples aren't always of equal sexual appetite and in some cases certain outside influences such as worrying about work, children etc can deplete appetite. The ability to just be friends as well as lovers and caring about eachothers feelings. It's a little bit of everything that'll keep it long-lasting.

Sex doesn't make a healthy relationship. Good sex is the PRODUCT of a healthy relationship.
The keys are trust, affection, respect, communication. I could elaborate, but it really does boil down to that.

Compatability in all aspects morals, mental age, sexual appitites, cognitive and emotional levels its a matter of give and take on equal levels to he a "partner" or "help mate" to each other . Basically its a mixute of all the things that u want in a person and the same mixture of what u are willing ot offer in return!

understanding --- respect --- like each other (not love -- like) --- willing to talk about anything and resolve problems
sex is easy esp for a male and you care for the person --- i dont have a ladies perspective but i think if the above are applied as well === the sky is the limit
