if you saved your old settings then its just a matter of going into add remove progs and uninstalling xp and that should leave you with your old me.

if you didn't then I'm afraid the only way is to format drive as you can not install an older version of windows over the top of a newer version (windows will not let you do this) no matter what way or how many times you try .

i recommend you keep xp as there is no more support or security/patch updates for me.most software now being written will be for xp and vista. but at the end of the day when it gets dark its your choice.

If you archived your old files, then it should be easy to uninstall the XP upgrade. That's assuming that you upgraded, and didn't install cleanly. Your question gave no hint.

If you did install cleanly, then you need to backup your files, and start the setup using the CD you have, choosing to format the drive along the way. If your drive partition is in NTFS format, you might have to use FDISK to delete and re-create partitions first.

If you really want my advice, keep XP on the machine, ME is possibly the worst OS ever made, and is no longer supported.

Hope this helps, you can mail me if you need any advice. Like I said though, I would keep XP.......

why would you want too go back to Windows ME? Well the easiest way is to format your drive and reinstall windows ME. but thats after you backup all your data of course right.
