Dont bother, its cramped, over taxed, polluted , roads jammed and will only get worse.
In 20yrs you will be better off in a country which is emptying its population into the UK.

LOL!

Depends where you want to live and what you expect.

Its overrun with imigration, really hard to get a good job, house prices are stupidly high (unless you're an immigrant then you get a council house and your rent paid for you, the rest of us have to work for it). and the government are so PC its ridiculous. they care far more about immigrants and asylum seekers than they do about their own people.

But then the UK (Wales) is my home and I love it for that reason. We have lovely scenery even if the weather isn't always fantastic.

We do have other benefits as well. You don't have to buy your medical treatment like you do in some countries (*cough*America*cough*) as we have the NHS (yeah its run by the Government from taxes, so what - Americans also pay taxes AND have to buy healthcare separately!) and there is more tolerance of different beleifs and ways of life over here.

I think that for many Brits they wouldn't want to live anywhere else no matter how shitty things get and how crap the government is, they are proud of this country and love it.

Some just want to escape because they want to live somewhere where the weather is better and they feel they'd have a good chance of getting a better job and a lower cost of living, but not sure if those places really exist.

The UK is a very nice place, however over the past few years it has changed alot owing to government policies and increased immigration. It depends what you enjoy in a country, the US is a great, varied place, but from time to time people imagine life may be better in another country.Go visit and see what you think, not just London though, try Bath,Bristol,Truro,Manchester,Newcastle to get a fuller picture.

It's bollocks

That's why i emigrated, along with countless others.......

actually, it does have some good points. there is still some countryside which hasn't yet been built on, some of the people are nice AND you can get a really good curry, the united kingdom' national dish.

UK is good. People who live here don't appreciate the finer things, like going to the pub to meet friends and not being shot at or told you have a curfew, being able to go shopping and get a job, having a nice house and food etc. UK is very nice.

I'm not sure what your question means though - do you only want to come to get our benefits? Then bugger off!!!!!

Depends on the area, like most countries there are good and bad places.

I agree with dsclimb1 and AshF too. Not all who come to the UK are after benefits though. I do work for the NHS and it sucks! So, yes, time to move out.

Don't bother coming - I know it sounds like all foreigners get everything, ie housing, benefits, NHS care - but the people already here are getting just a tad sick to death of it!
