im getting my legs, bikini line and under arms waxed on friday!...?
never had it done b4?! can u just tell me about it and what to expect?!?!
... does it actually hurt a lot??
and will it b worth it?
how long does hair have to be for waxing????
also what knickers do i wear for gettin bikini line done???? i dont kno what to expect as havnt had a wax before so really appreciatte your advice!!!! thanks!! x x

I tried it once and it hurt quite a bit, not only that but it wasn't very effective. Only removed about half of the hair. By the way, I love your name! LOL, mine is spelled the same way.

I got the whole bikini area waxed for the first time today.

Hurt like a beatch, I'm not going to lie. The bikini line itself wasn't that bad, it's as it got closer to the labia that it was excruciating. I would say no panties, otherwise you may get wax on them, then it's sticky for the rest of the day. The hair is supposed to be 1/4 inch, (don't know metric, sorry). If you take some advil or something before you go, it helps with the pain. The pain doesn't last long afterwards, by the time you're leaving, it will be gone.

okay, I'm not gonna lie to you. It hurts but no pain no gain right? :)
make sure that you exfoliate this week to remove dead skin cells and will give even a smoother result. Don't apply moisturiser just before waxing. It will take about 3 weeks to have a full growth, and yes it is worth it.
Wear a normal pair of knickers (not very new ones, since there's a chance of getting wax on them).

Just relax, you're not gonna die :)


By the way, it's a very good idea to get it professionally done. Less problems and they'll know what they're doing so you don't have to worry.

Most salons give you a little paper panty to wear for the bikini area. Let me tell you it hurts like heck like any hair removal other than shaving. I finally got the laser treatment done. That really hurts, but lessens overtime and is so well worth it. I think you will be happy with the results. Like the other posters said, "No pain, no gain." More than likely you will strip down for this one since you are having those 3 areas done. They will give you a sheet to cover up with. They are descreet. I wish you the best. Know you are doing something that will be worth it after the initial pain is gone.

Good luck for your first waxing session, if your skin is sensitive you can expect like rubber pulling on your skin. It worth doing it and your hair should be at 1.8mm in lenght. Wear thong bikini
it's easier.

I did my private part by myself and it hurts but it is worth it!!!!!!!, my skin was super soft and the hair was completely removed (I used the Brazilian wax).
Are you getting it done by professionals?, If so can you tell me where?

it really isn't that bad. I get it done twice a month. so I guess i am used to it by now. but at first it hurt and now it is just like alright where did the pain go.

ouch!
you'll have pain but it worth. The hair will grow up hardly and it will be not so strong.I think that the best for the first time you go to a cosmetic center.

OMG!!!!! I used the NADS stuff under my arms, and the darn stuff pulled off a tiny mole I had there, and I thought that I was gonna die! it not only hurt like the devil, but it had me bleeding!!!!!!!!!
