Well, I had this problem most of my life, at some times it is worse than others. And I too, suffer from depression and am on meds and all that good stuff.
I don't know if there's any "cure" except to keep trying new things. I read a lot, it keeps my brain happy, but I can feel caged in too, if I dont' get out enough.
so the boredom can come from some aspect or some need not being met. If I am inside the house too long, I will get an uncomfortable feeling I recognize as being "bored", if I spend too much time out I'll get the same feeling, or even too much time with the same person or group of people, or when I work 3 days in a row. (i work part time so three days in a row is my longest stretch)
I think it comes down to getting variety in activities. There are some things you have to do every day, but with your "free time" you might want to make sure you spend that in different ways, and do something different before the boredom sets in.

Well Yahoo Answers is a good cure for boredom. lol

But seriously. Take up a hobby. Something you really like doing. Or go volunteer at a nursing home, hospital, salvation army, etc. When you volunteer, you are helping people, doing work, and feeling really good. Perfect boredom buster! :D

I think you're still depressed. You need to tell your doctor about your chronic boredom. Maybe a change in meds is the answer. Maybe a change in jobs and leisure activities would help. Go with friends to a football game.

It may not be as under control as you think, if you have feelings of boredom when you are already doing interesting things.

You make your own life what it is.

Find something interesting to do. Stay busy. Make some goals and work hard toward them. Stop whining about being bored.'
