My husband has an ulcer and the doctor said if he did everything that he was told, that it can be reversible. First thing they gave him was the medication Nexium...These pills repair not only damage done by Acid Reflux but they repair the damages done by an ulcer. Second, you have to stop eating spicy foods, no black pepper, no jalapenos, etc.- Try and cut down on foods with high acid content and no cigarette smoking or drinking alcohol at all. If you want a natural remedy, I have read about Extra Virgin Pine Nut Oil. I don't know how severe your husband's ulcer is but it can be cured if you just do a regimen and stick to it.
