Actually if you unplug your TV you can <> a capacitor when you plug it back in....or the Rectifier too....
Applying the Mains voltage to any power supply will stress it EACH AND EVERY TIME power is plugged in....
I suggest keeping it plugged in, most TV sets only use about 4 to 10 watts in standby mode anyways......
And that 150.00 repair will be avoided.....

there are quite some opportunities. a million. The cord is suitable to both absolutely one of your gadgets so if one receives swap of the different will swap off too. 2. possibly you've a prevalent distant and as u suggested both absolutely one of them are on an same type. 3. you should modify the HDMI cable connection use that yellow cable that you used till now. desire i helped!

this depends whether you are using an lcd or a cathode tube tv. for the cathode tube there is no problem coz flickering lights damage them even on standby. for the lcd nothing matters just dont leave it on.
