I keep all my produce in the refrig. here.

To keep celery a little longer, try cleaning it, and placing it in a Tupperware container filled with water. I do the same thing for carrots. It helps to keep those two vegies crisp.

I keep potatoes, garlic bulbs, onions (not scallions), shallots, avocados, and lemons at room temp. Greenery and peppers go in the fridge. Generally. Say with the lemons, it depends on how many I have. If it's just a few, room temp. If it's 20 pounds, then it would be in a walk-in cooler.

Before i put the vegetables in refrigerator, I rinse all of vegetables from grocery and wrap them in the aluminium foil, can take longer and still look fresh.

For fruits it would be good if you choose that still looks half green, it would be fresh longer in fridge.
